Marvel Comics, originally known as Timely Publications when it was founded in 1939, changed its name to Atlas Comics in the early 1950s, and finally changed to Marvel Comics in 1961. These are some of the Marvel-produced film franchises that are adaptations of Marvel's own published comics. The most of Marvel's superheroes have a good sense of humor and seem to be kid-friendly because they also appear in bright colors.
