The very next day, the school is hit with tragic news: Joe has died in a terrible car accident. While everyone at school is grieving, Pae, who saw the accident, sees a chance to do something different.

Using his cleverness, Pae suggests to the school that they make a short film to honor Joe. Pae hopes that this project will not only pay tribute to Joe but also help him get into his dream university.

Red Life is a film about a tragic romance set in the tough streets of Bangkok. Som, whose mother is a sex worker, believes that finding true love could improve his life.

In 1970s Thailand, a group known as the Traveling Pharma-Cinema Unit entertained the public by showing 16mm films in villages and towns across the country. They provided live-dubbed films to eager audiences using microphones to voice the characters.

The four main members of the group had a unique job. They created and performed dubbed soundtracks on the spot, bringing much-needed entertainment to the locals. However, their travels were not without challenges. An unexpected incident once halted their film showings.

During this break, they had to switch roles and become drug salesmen who aim to sell pharmaceutical products. They needed to complete these sales before they could continue showing films.

Their journey was marked by hurdles and even deceit, but they pushed forward to achieve their dreams. "Once Upon a Star" captures the group's persistence and commitment to their craft despite the obstacles they faced.
